(Reuters) – Former Chelsea supervisor Roberto di Matteo has been appointed technical adviser at two-time Asian champions Jeonbuk Motors, the South Korean membership mentioned on Wednesday.
Jeonbuk, coached by ex-South Korea worldwide defender Kim Sang-sik, completed runners-up behind Ulsan Hyundai within the Ok-League final season, ending a run of 5 consecutive title wins.
Di Matteo led Chelsea to the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup titles in 2012 whereas filling the supervisor’s position as a caretaker after the sacking of Andre Villas Boas.
The previous Italy worldwide was appointed full-time by the membership in June 2012 however was sacked 5 months later. He has since had brief managerial stints at Schalke and Aston Villa.
