Stickney’s Canine and Duck Bridge is getting intensive work carried out in July.
Cllr Richard Davies, government member for highways, mentioned: “It’s terrific information that we are able to perform these works on the Canine and Duck bridge. What we’re doing is required to repair a sub-surface leak via the bridge joints.
“While we’re finishing up that leak repair, our skilled crew will additionally perform the re-waterproofing, alternative of the joints, resurfacing and different minor upkeep of the bridge.
“Finishing up these works will give the construction a few years of service to come back.”
Dates and instances
The works will start on Monday July 24 and final for 5 weeks, topic to acceptable climate.
A full highway closure will probably be in place for the works.
The diversion route will probably be by way of: A16 to Sibsey, to Station Highway, Sibsey to B1184 to A52 Friskney to Eau dyke Highway to Fen Financial institution and vice versa.

The works will probably be carried out on the Canine and Duck Bridge Horbling Lane, Stickney.
Cllr Davies added: “These important works will value round £85,000 to finish and have to be carried out as preventative measures.
“With security of the works crew and highway customers completely paramount, we are able to’t have the bridge in use throughout these works. A diversion route will probably be in place and there will probably be no pedestrian route throughout the bridge itself, both.
